We are delighted to share images of Karen and Phil’s beautiful wedding at Morgensvlei in Tulbagh.
Karen and Phil got married earlier this year in February, in the middle of South Africa’s Summer. They chose the historic country town of Tulbagh, to host their wedding celebration. Just an hour and a half drive from Cape Town, Tulbagh is nestled in a small valley with many popular wine farms, historic buildings, and is surrounded by a majestic mountain range – perfect for a weekend wedding away!
The couple chose to have a stylish wedding celebration, incorporating elegant and vintage décor elements to create a chic yet classic atmosphere.
Their wedding colour scheme was a combination of off-white and ivory to reflect a vintage backdrop with touches of colour in shades of deep aubergine purple and fresh green, which was reflected in the floral arrangements. Accessories of glass were combined with different mercury and silver vases.
What was the inspiration behind your wedding day?
To create a comforting atmosphere with rich warm colours.
Was there a theme for your wedding? If so, please describe it;
We chose a rustic, French chic theme
What were your feelings on the day and how do you feel it went?
I was overwhelmed by feelings of elation and expectation, but so completed by the efforts made by my service providers and dedicated wedding providers.
Any marriage advice to other brides/grooms?
The more organised you are, the more you can relax and enjoy the day.
